Dr Athreya travelled to Italy once again last week to finalise his training for MonaLisa Touch laser treatment – the new laser technique for vaginal atrophy.
Who should have the treatment?
If you are having the symptoms commonly related to vaginal atrophy, you can now obtain a new balance through the recovery of genital physiology and relief from symptoms you suffer from every day.
MonaLisa TouchTM promotes the recovery of genital mucosa balance in a safe and painless way, through methods similar to those used to slow down face skin ageing. The laser’s effect on vaginal mucosa tissue stimulates the production of collagen, improves functionality of the treated area, and restores proper blood flow.
MonaLisa Touch is natural, safe and mini-invasive, it restores tone to tissues and increases blood flow and lubrication. In one word, it naturally normalises the physiology of the vaginal walls. It is one of the most advanced vaginal photorejuvenation techniques and relieves the most troublesome symptoms associated with vaginal atrophy: poor vaginal lubrication, vulvar itching, dryness, heaviness, and even pain during intercourse can become a memory of the past.
In training Dr Athreya was privileged to worked with Professor Salvatore, Umberto Leone and specialist Nurse Ilaria Baini in theatre. Whilst away, Dr Athreya also met with Gynaecologist Dr Karoshi and Dr Naidoo, a laser specialist also from the UK.
